What is included in my gift?

Every gift from The Enchanted Bookery includes a unique assortment of books selected just for your special someone. In addition, we include a personalized bookmark with the recipient's name, and custom bookplates with your choice of message. Your gift is exquisitely wrapped in your choice of a wicker basket, wagon, tote, or personalized bin.

What comes in a $60 basket? How about a $150 basket?

While every basket from The Enchanted Bookery is unique, a $60 basket typically includes 6-7 books. A $150 basket might include 12-18 books. The difference between the two is $90 worth of books. The number of books will vary based on the types of books included (paperback, board, hardcover, etc). The sample baskets shown within this site can give you an idea of what might be included in different size gifts. If you would like to know exactly what books will be included in your gift, please contact us & we will be happy to email you a list before we ship your gift.

How are books and gift items selected for each gift?

Based on the information you provide us with, we select an assortment of books appropriate for the age, gender, and birth order of the person receiving the gift. Our gift collections are assembled to offer as great a variety of items as possible. Please refer to our sample baskets within the site to see the kinds of gift collections we offer.

How is a baby basket for a second or third child different from a first child?

For first children, we tend to include more classic books and all-time favorites such as Goodnight Moon, The Little Engine That Could, and Dr. Seuss. We carry a wide selection of beautiful children's books to choose from. For second or third (or more) children, we select books the family is less likely to already have, but will believe will be loved as well. In addition, we always include a personalized bookmark for the proud older sibling(s).

Can I request a specific book to be included?

Yes! You can always make specific requests. If we have your desired book in stock, we are happy to include it with your gift. . We may also be able to special order your item(s). Please contact us regarding your request and we will let you know if we are able to special order your item(s). Please note that special orders may add to the time needed before we can ship your order. In addition, while we do our best to keep our inventory current, items are occasionally out of stock. We will notify you if a particular item you select is out of stock or unavailable.

Can I see a list of the books that were included with my gift?

If you would like to know exactly what books were included in your gift, please contact us and we will email you a detailed invoice.

How do I change quantities or cancel an item on my order?

Once an order has been shipped, quantities can not be changed and items can not be canceled. However, if your order has not yet been shipped, you can contact us at 888-269-5947 or EnchantedBookery@Comcast.net with your changes.

How will I know my order has been received and shipped?

Once your order is received, you will get an email confirming your order. After your order has been shipped, we will send you a second email that includes a UPS tracking number so you can see where your gift is in transit or where & when it was delivered.

How long will it take for my gift to arrive and how will it be shipped?

Because every gift includes personalized bookmarks and custom bookplates and a unique assortment of books and gift items just for your special someone we require time to complete your order. Orders are typically shipped via UPS Ground with no signature required, within 1 - 2 business days after we receive them. The amount of time in transit is determined by where your gift is going. Gifts shipped to the NY Metropolitan area require 1 business day in transit. Gifts shipped to the West Coast may take 5-7 business days in transit. Please refer to the UPS map below for details.

What will it cost to ship my gift ?

Shipping is automatically calculated prior to submitting your payment information. There are two places you can obtain this information. On the Cart page, you will be able to calculate shipping, if you choose to, at the bottom by putting in your state and zip code. Or, on the Shipping & Payment page, you will be asked to select your shipping method based on the options given and the price of your item(s). Please be sure to check the shipping information you enter carefully as address errors/corrections are subject to an $11.00 UPS surcharge.

Can I send a gift outside of the Continental United States or to a Military or APO Box?

Yes. We can send your basket anywhere. Our gift baskets have been shipped to Puerto Rico, Canada, Holland, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the list keeps growing! What if my order doesn't arrive?

You can use the UPS tracking number to track where your package is. If it states that it has already been delivered and it has not been received, please contact us at (888) 269-5947 or EnchantedBookery@Comcast.net.

What if an item is missing from my shipment?

How will I know when something will arrive if it is on backorder?

If you have an item on backorder, we will send you updates as to when it will arrive and be ready to ship. If you have not heard from us and want to get an answer right away, please contact us at (888) 269-5947 or EnchantedBookery@Comcast.net.

Is my online order secure?

YES. All information you provide when placing an order or contacting us is encrypted before being sent to us. Our website is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant. What is your referral program?

For every new friend you tell about The Enchanted Bookery who places an order, you will receive a $5 credit good on your next order of $60 or more. The more friends you tell about us, the more credits you earn! You may combine credits. This offer is good the first time your friend(s) order.

Can I set up a corporate account?

How do I create an account?

There are two ways to create an account. You can click the log in or sign up “button” in the upper right hand corner of the site and this will bring you to a page where you can put in your customer login or register as a new customer (create an account). Alternately, once you have everything you need in your cart and you go to checkout, it will prompt you to either login or register as a new customer (create an account).

What do I do if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, you can go the the "forgot password" link on the login page and it will send you an email with reset instructions.

What is your return policy?

All gifts may be returned within one month of the shipping date provided they are in "like-new" condition. The recipient will receive a credit with The Enchanted Bookery for the gift price, less $10 for personalized items and any shipping charges. If a recipient is happy with the gift but already has one or more of the book selections, they can send those books back for an exchange. Please note all shipping charges will be the recipient’s responsibility.

Do I have to pay sales tax?

Only gifts being DELIVERED to the state of Connecticut will incur sales tax, which is 6.35%.
